Welcome to the Mia Saunders School of Ballet
Mia Saunders School of Ballet has been established in Northern Virginia since 1987. Students have been accepted into prestigious summer dance intensives such as American Ballet Theatre, Kirov Academy of Washington, D.C., Rock School of Dance in Pennsylvania, and the Virginia Governor's School for Dance. MSB is committed to the success of each student and teaches to the whole child as an individual. Students who attend MSB will receive the finest in classical ballet training, yet will have time to balance their busy school schedules. Studying dance at MSB uniquely enriches students in their appreciation for dance and imparts life-long lessons.
Mission Statement: I sincerely believe that dance is an extension of education created to stimulate the body as a whole. I seek to provide training to children because I believe that by connecting the mind, body, and soul in dance class it will help them to improve every aspect of their lives. To partake in dance classes is an educational experience that will benefit children throughout their years. As Plato once said, "The purpose of education is to give to the body and soul all the beauty and all the perfection of which they are capable."
